After you say yes, once, BurnX sends the AI model only what the AI feature you are using needs: your goal, your measurements, your equipment, your training history, the messages you write to the coach, and your calorie need and training days for the meal plan. Payment details and sign-in credentials never leave your phone. Before consent, nothing does.
This page is for the moment before you tap yes on the consent screen. It puts the privacy policy, which is the binding text, into plain words, and adds nothing to it.
What leaves my phone?
Six kinds of thing, each only when the feature that needs it is in use: your goal, your measurements, your equipment, your training history, the messages you write to the coach, and your calorie need and training days for the meal plan. The training history is what the coach reads to answer a question about your squat, and the equipment is what lets the program fit the gym you actually have.
The weekly weights are not on this list. They come from what you lifted, not from the model. How the coach and the weekly rule divide the work is in how the AI coach works and how BurnX decides next week’s weights, and the other guides on how the app works are in the hub.
When is it sent?
After you say yes, and only then. The question is asked once, during onboarding, in plain words. Until you accept, the AI features stay unavailable, the consent screen says so, and nothing leaves the phone for them.
What is never sent?
Three things, whatever you do in the app.
- Payment details. Billing runs through Apple, and your payment details stay with Apple. No AI feature receives anything about your payment.
- Sign-in credentials. You sign in with Apple or Google. There is no BurnX password to hold, and nothing about your sign-in goes to the AI model.
- Anything before consent. Until you say yes on the consent screen, no data goes to the model at all.
And nothing a feature does not need.
Does the provider train its models on my data?
No. The terms of the service, linked from the privacy policy, say the provider does not use your prompts or responses to improve its products, and may keep them for a limited period to check for abuse of its policies. The privacy policy carries the same words.
How do I stop later?
Delete your account in the app. BurnX writes your program and your meal plans with the AI, so there is no switch that keeps the account and turns the AI off. Deleting the account removes your data, as the privacy policy describes. Questions go to privacy@burnx.me.
What happens when I delete my account?
Deleting the account in the app removes your data. The privacy policy is the binding text on what that covers and on anything Apple must keep for billing. Deletion is also the only way to end the AI consent, since the app cannot run without it, and it is the button I would use.
A worked example: the coach, one message
You are between bench sets, phone propped against the 20 kg plates on the rack, and you write to the coach: “how is my bench going this block”. Here is what moves and what does not.
To the model goes your message and your training history. From that it reads your bench this block and writes an answer. Not sent: your email, your name as an account record, your subscription, your sign-in. Apple is not involved.
Had you never consented, nothing would have left your phone.
Where to write
Questions about any of this go to privacy@burnx.me. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. If you want something this page does not cover, such as how long a specific record is kept, ask there. The binding text is the privacy policy. When it changes, this page follows it.
